Visualize Global Space is about to modern
geopolitical imagination. It start with the origins and development of the
capacity to see the world as a whole. From this point of view, the ‘modern’
world is defined by the imaginative ability to transcend the spatial limits
imposed by everyday life and contemplate the world conceived and grasped as a picture.
In this context,
visualizing global space have two characteristics what emerged at the outset of
the European Age of Discovery. First of all, that seeing the
world-as-a-picture, as an ordered, structured whole, separates the self who is
viewing from the world itself. The other characteristic of global visualization
is the world pictured beyond the horizon is a source of chaos and danger. In
this context, we can talk about a dichotomous global West and East, in which
the former is seen as the total opposite and, hence, definitive standard for the
latter. East and West always have a
conflict between themselves and this situation create a visualizing
global space. Of course, globalization is the other important issue for this
topic. The other source of visualizing
global space is geographical thinking. Visualizing global space has involved
the adaptation of its two features within the overall context of a persisting modern
geopolitical imagination. The horizon could be cross by means of technology and
beliefs. In addition to that, experience of the world effects the visualizing
global space. In the history, we have some examples for visualizing global
space such as European Renaissance, French Revolution and elaboration of
Ptolemy’s cosmography. The world was an object separated from the viewing
subject, and could be understood adequately only if seen as a whole. Of course,
Scepticism is effects the global space. climate and other geographical features
are taken to account for such differences as exist between cultures. In this
understanding, there can be no innately superior cultures and no groups or
nations whose members are more fully ‘human’ than others. But European
experience still provided the standard for what ‘one humanity’ might entail.
Indeed, European experience defined what ‘humanity’ could be: a singular human
nature resting on ‘universal’ attributes that were more often than not projections
of European ones. In addition to that, if we rejects the effects and the
importance of religious. In this context, of course, Christianity played a
important role for visualizing global space.
Throughout the years, religious power had not lost own power in the all
over the world. In addition to that, civilization is very important thing for
visualizing global space. Since the transformation of World, Civilization is
not lost own price like religious. I think, the most important two thing is
civilization and religious. By means of civilization, the human kind developed
themselves day by day and visualizing global space is still living in modern
times. In this progress, the idea of “race” has effected the visualizing global
space. Races have differences themselves as we know. After 16th
century, the importance of race had rise. In my opinion, visualizing global
space will continue. Technology, East-West Divide, religious effects, races,
Scepticisim, the ambition of humankind, cultures, civilization, Ptolemy and the
other things like those are always be continue and improve throughout the
years.
